Modern Languages - Background

Modern Languages Initiative

Acknowledgement came from the Department of Education and Science in association with An Institiúid Teangeolaíochta Éireann in 1998 when Kildare Education Centre was chosen to project manage the nationwide delivery of the Introduction of Modern Languages to Primary Schools initiative. The Director, supported by the Management Committee, plays a vital role in facilitating and supporting the programme, developing of ideas, organising the training of the facilitators, and the efficient administration of the programme. Managing this project also involves developing relationships with the N.C.C.A., Colleges of Education, Embassies and Cultural Institutes.

The Modern Languages in Primary Schools Initiative
