Modern Languages - Italian Resources

This resource list was developed for the Modern Languages in Primary Schools Initiative. It contains a range of materials that can be used by teachers of Italian involved in primary teaching. The list includes books, songs, stories, videos, research and reference materials.

The MLPSI encourages and supports the use of a cross-curricular, activity-based approach to the teaching of Modern Languages in the Primary School. It is not recommended that teachers use a class textbook or a linear type approach. However some textbooks contain ideas and activities that can be adapted for use in the classroom. Many textbooks also have an accompanying CD that contains listening material as well as songs that can be used in the classroom.
