The transition from Primary to Secondary school is an exciting time in a young person’s life. This presentation has been designed to support you in preparing the student to make the best start they can in their new school.

Covid 19 has made this a very difficult year for us all. The classroom has become a difficult space for students and teachers. Levels of anxiety around Covid are easily transferred to other areas of life. This presentation is designed to provide information, allay fears, and offer solutions to common problems faced by parents and students in this time of transition.

  • Supporting teens to manage change.
  • Identifying common areas of concern and how to be prepared.

Presenter - Gráinne Mulcahy a fulltime teacher, Chaplain, Restorative Practices Tutor, Teaching in Gorey Community School and Adult Education Night School. Currently in Year 4 Doctorate in Education, TCD. Extensive experience in Junior Cycle. Key areas of expertise are teaching and learning, assessment, restorative practices, mindfulness and lifelong learning. Delivering practical, jargon free professional development since 2009
