18KE604 CESI Computer Science

On 16 Sep 2017, the Computer Education Society of Ireland (CESI) hosted a Computer Science Symposium at NUI Maynooth and a Computer Science Community of Practice was launched at the event.  Kildare Education Centre, as part of the Association of Teachers’/Education Centres in Ireland (ATECI) is partnering CESI to host such a Community of Practice.

This is the third such event to take place in Kildare Education Centre. At this session you can find out how to introduce digital technology into your classroom and enjoy the benefit of the wisdom and support of your colleagues. This event is suitable for primary and post-primary teachers and we are looking forward to a great mix of both. This event will give you a chance to address personal needs, build relationships with other stakeholders and discuss issues relating to the development and practice of computing in education. There will also be a workshop activity to develop personal knowledge of computing and computational thinking. Further work on WeDo and MicroBits will feature.
