PDST Post Primary Literacy Clusters

A two-hour session for post-primary teachers and school leaders interested in supporting the development of literacy, hosted in your local education centre from February 2018.

This cluster will:
•  support communities of practice to share their experiences and exchange ideas

•  aim to develop the leadership capacity of link teachers as they work within the context of a dynamic, progressive and collaborative group of professionals committed to improving students’ learning in literacy

•  discuss the process of critically engaging in “regular review” of embedding literacy skills through School Self Evaluation and the Statements of Practice

•  reflect on SSE Update 10 and the Interim Review of the National Strategy in connection to literacy
